2025 BYD Atto 2 - design and features
As per an online report, BYD Atto 2 has passed the Green NCAP tests in Europe. It is a subsidiary test agency of the Euro NCAP that tests electric cars. The BYD Atto 2 is sold in China as BYD Yuan Up; an electric crossover SUV. The report also suggests that it will launch in Europe initially and later on it will be sold in global markets like the UAE.
We can also safely assume that the Atto 2 will be the most affordable offering by BYD because it is a smaller car than the Atto 3. The Green NCAP press release data shows it is 4.3 mt in length, thus, making it smaller than the Atto 3 by 145 mm.
BYD Yuan Up or BYD Atto 2, will offer a clean and boxy crossover design including the LED lights and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. On the inside, it will feature identical elements to the Atto 3; as it will get an 8.8-inch digital console and a 12.8-inch infotainment screen.
Other features will include ADAS safety, multi-drive modes, panoramic sunroof, ventilated & electric seats, leather upholstery, and more.

2025 BYD Atto 2 - battery, range, specs
The report also indicates that the Atto 2 will feature either a 42.1 kWh battery or a 45.1 kWh battery. BYD's trademarked blade battery setup will offer a WLTP-claimed driving range of up to 312 km. For reference, the Atto 3 gets 345 km and 420 km driving range battery options.
The Green NCAP tests show that it will deliver an expected real-world range of 244 km and 164 km highway range. Also, it will support rapid charging of up to 45 kW.
Since the specifications are unknown, the report says that it will weigh 1,590 kg unladen. BYD electric cars offer quick performance and the Atto 2 is also expected to offer the same.

Initially, the Atto 2 will be exported from China. It will be positioned below the BYD Atto 3, which is priced at AED 149,900 (excluding VAT) in the UAE. The Atto 2 will undercut this price marginally; expecting the price tag around AED 120,000 or even less.
