MG Motors has officially revealed the new upcoming EV called 'ES5' in China. Currently debuted only in China, it is believed to be a successor model of the MG ZS EV. 2025 MG ZS EV: Design and features
The newly debuted MG ES5 is going to be a global product. As per some online reports, MG does not wish to name it ZS EV but it is still unclear what will it be called. For the Chinese market, it is the ES5 brand name. Also, MG says that the ES5 is going to be based on the Nebula architecture or platform. Hence, its design matches the MG4 EV to an extent. The front fascia has sleek DRLs with headlights positioned below along with large air vents on the front grille.
Similarly, the side profile gets dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, and chrome on the window beading. It will also be bigger in dimensions than the old ZS EV with its 4,476 mm of length, and 2,730 mm of wheelbase which is 70 mm more than the old model.
On the inside, the new ZS EV will get a brand-new dashboard with dual-tone theme. The key highlights of its cabin are the digital instrument console, a big infotainment screen, a floating-type center console, an aluminum finish on the door pads, and the AC vents. These 3 battery options will include - a 51kWh, a 71kWh, & a 77kWh battery pack. The claimed power output is between 168 bhp to 242 bhp and it will be a rear-wheel drive car. Moreover, the driving range of these battery packs will range between 322 km/charge to 483 km/charge. The top speed of the 2025 MG ZS EV is said to be 170 km/h and it can do 0-100 km/h in just 8 seconds.
