2025 Nissan Patrol Design & Features - What’s New?

New Patrol Y63 gets sharp and futuristic design elements

Nissan has codenamed the new 2025 Patrol as Y63. This new updated model brings a plethora of changes to the Patrol brand. Starting with the design, it now gets the connected LED lightbar on the front and reworked LED DRLs. The front bumper has also been revised to give it a fresh appearance with chrome highlights and LED indicators embedded on the bottom. However, it is the front grille that now gives it a Range Rover-ish appeal. The overall boxy design is still prominent on the new Patrol.

The front profile gets connected LED lightbar and a new piano black grille
Side profile is enhanced by the new alloy wheels and the revamped C-pillar

The side profile of the new model is also changed with the reworked C-pillar along with the new alloy wheels. If you are going to buy the NISMO variant, it is equipped with 22-inch multi-spoke sporty alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Platinum City and the LE Titanium variants are equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels. The side profile is more or less the same as the old car, but the subtle changes make its appearance different from the older Y62 model.

Rear profile has undergone through a major uplift in terms of design

Continuing the touch of refreshment, the rear profile of the SUV has also undergone a major improvement. Unlike the bland rear design with the huge rear glass of the old Y62 model, the new Y63 gets LED lights that are connected via a lightbar on the boot lid. The piano black finish on the boot lid and the revised bumper design make the new model look more attractive and humongous in size.

A new dashboard and a big dual-screen connected panel gives a refreshing appeal

Another major improvement in the new Patrol is the interior design and new features. Step inside the cabin and you are welcomed by a red and black leather upholstery theme. A brand new dashboard with two 14.3-inch connected screens, makes it look futuristic as well as stylish. These screens perform the individual duties of the speedometer console and infotainment altogether. The new model also gets wireless charging for phones, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Klipsch music system for music lovers. The HVAC controls have been positioned on the lower half of the center console. The center console itself has undergone major changes. The gear selector is gone now and it is replaced by individual buttons for P, R, N, and D. Moreover, the 6 drive modes can be changed on the go by a circular dial present on the console.

Rear passengers get individual entertainment screens

For rear passenger comfort, each front seat headrest is equipped with an individual 12.8-inch screen that offers separate entertainment options like OTT platform surfing and more. These screens also support video games which can be played by using an HDMI or USB outlet. Speaking of charging, all three rows of the new Patrol are equipped with USB C-ports.

Nissan claims that the Y63 is an evolution of the outgoing model

For additional safety, the new Y63 model comes with adaptive cruise control technology. Additionally, it gets a 360-degree parking camera support through the big infotainment screen. For the front-row passengers, the 8-way electrically adjustable seats will be a boon to use. Also, the newly introduced powered tailgate is going to be helpful during luggage ferrying.
