Barrierless Parking System in Dubai - how it works?

Barrierless parking system in Dubai

Replacing the traditional barrier-type parking in Dubai, the new barrierless parking system has been officially introduced. Currently, it is set up in popular malls in Dubai that are generally full of visitors. As per the authorities, the new parking system uses a set of cameras to record the incoming and outgoing vehicles.

Special gateways for entry and exit of vehicles have been curated for the new system. Once a vehicle passes the entry point, the camera grabs the registration plate of the vehicle along with the entry time. Upon exit, another camera will capture the registration plate along with the exit time.

Then, the total time of parking and the parking fee link will be sent to the car owner's registered mobile number via SMS. This number shall be connected to the registered vehicle plate. Users can further click on the payment link and pay the designated parking fees. Once done, the receipt of parking will be shared on the mobile subsequently.

Users can also check the previous parking slips and details by the Parkin mobile app (Android link, iOS link), or through the official website and Kiosks inside the malls.
