The wonderfully-designed seats are supremely comfortable and come with Shiatsu massage function with 7 different settings, and are also heated and cooled. Those at the rear are also provided dual 11.6-inch entertainment screens that support Blu-ray, SD cards and HDMI inputs. Up front, the LS500 gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Further connectivity is enabled thanks to a Wi-Fi hotspot, while Alexa voice input is present as well.

Performance and other features

The new Lexus LS500 comes loaded with plenty of passive & active safety features, which includes a Pre Crash Safety System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a heads-up display, all-around parking sensors with surround-view cameras, and a whole bunch of airbags. In the UAE, customers can also choose the S450 4MATIC that comes with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that develops 367hp and 500Nm. This S-Class, though a base variant, does 100 kmph from a standstill in a mere 5.1 seconds, which is really good for the ‘poverty-pack’ avatar of the world’s best car. With a price tag of nearly 740,000 dirhams in the UAE, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most expensive and powerful variant of the German brand’s stellar sedan. While the Panamera might have been around since 2009, its fame wasn’t guaranteed during its early days. However, it did not take long for this rather controversial performance luxury sedan to take over the world’s upscale car market. There are several different variants of this Porsche, though if you really want the best of the best, then the top-end Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the one to go for.

Having said that, not everyone has pockets that are deep enough to buy and maintain a brand-new Porsche Panamera. However, that is not such a bad thing as Cars24 has an extensive inventory of certified used cars in Abu Dhabi and many more second-hand cars in Sharjah that are available for way less money. But no matter how you look at it, the latest-generation Porsche Panamera is one of the best-selling cars from the posh German automaker. Today, it ranks as one of the top luxury sedans in the UAE.

And with a top speed of 315 kmph, this is the fastest luxury sedan on this list.

Of course, despite its tremendous performance metrics, you should be aware of this sedan’s 2.3-ton mass at all times. The again, Porsche has designed and refined the Panamera to such an extent, that you will almost never notice its weight. Moreover, the rear-axle steering ensures that the Panamera’s maneuverability remains great at low and high speeds. This means that this large luxury sedan feels nimble even when you are driving around town, though it never actually feels small in any way from behind the wheel.

If you really want to make the most out of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid’s pool of power, switch it into Sports Plus mode. This will keep the car at its lowest ride setting, as the air suspension gets into its most aggressive mode and tightens up the ride as well. Meanwhile, the Normal mode exists when you just want to putter around in the city whilst enjoying a fairly relaxed and comfortable ride.
