Performance sedans are both comfortable and fast. Many car enthusiasts take their sedans out for a spin on the weekends or to enjoy the wonderful weather (during the winter, that is). For the most part, the UAE is a great place to drive sports cars. This is mainly because the roads are excellent and offer a seamless driving experience, smooth as butter!

Thankfully, there are plenty of performance sedans in the market – from the all-electric Porsche Taycan to the BMW M5 – there is something for everyone and almost every occasion. The wide range of options across different price points will certainly come as a delight for car enthusiasts. On the flip-side, Cars24 has plenty of options, especially when it comes to certified used cars in Dubai or pre-owned cars in Abu Dhabi. Having said that, here are the ten best performance Sedans in the UAE:

Lexus LS 500

Lexus LS500 UAE

Japanese cars have always been known for being dependable and durable. Lexus made a name for itself in the late ‘80s in the US with great vehicular performance, impeccable service, and devotion to perfection. America was an extremely competitive market back then and was tough to break through. The Lexus LS400 was released in 1989 and sold 8,000 units in just a few weeks. A successful start to their campaign until two drivers reported minor issues in their cars’ cruise control system.

In an unprecedented move, Lexus recalled all 8,000 units of the LS400. In fact, a Lexus representative went to the home of the owners, collected the car, and provided them with a luxurious replacement until the automaker could correct the problem. Shortly after, Lexus delivered the cars back to their rightful owners. This is what defines Lexus – impeccable customer service. Having said all that, let us move on to the new Lexus LS500, which costs around AED 480,000. But, if you are looking for something less expensive, Cars24 has listings of second-hand cars for sale in Sharjah.

Exterior

Lexus LS500 front

The LS series has always been pretty vanilla, and the company has been criticized a little for this throughout the sedan’s existence. However, Lexus has been trying to change that in the last few years, and since then, there has been an advent of bolder and more interesting cars from the Japanese brand. The LS500 is part of this ‘newer and more exciting’ model lineup. In the case of the flagship LS500, the exterior features a large and wide spindle front grille, LED headlamps that are slimmer than a samurai’s sword, and punchy yet suave body surfacing.

Lexus LS500 side

Of course, the long and wide hood of the LS500 definitely helps its overall look. Some of the LS500’s other exterior details include its swanky LED taillights, sophisticated-looking 20-inch alloy wheels, a swooping window line, large intakes at the front, twin exhaust tips, and sporty black trim all over. Even with its relatively exciting design, this sedan manages to be classy in its detailing.

Lexus LS500 rear

The Lexus LS500 drives in with measurements of 5,235mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,450mm in height. Then there is its wheelbase which comes in at 3,124mm and boot capacity that comes to 480 liters. As for the colors on offer, the Lexus LS500 is available in a dozen colors that includes White Nova GF, Heat Blue CL, Graphite Black, Sonic Titanium, Sonic Quartz, Gin-Ei Luster, and Red M.C.

Interior

Lexus LS500 interior

The F Sport version of the Lexus LS500 can be had with a suitable sporty-looking interior – draped in monotone all-black, or dual-tone white, or dual-tone red. The interior features a version-specific sports steering wheel, aluminium pedals, peculiar rotary knobs mounted above the instrument console, and a leather-covered & stubby gear lever. Obviously, the quality of materials used and their overall fit-and-finish is second to none. This is undeniably a well-crafted and luxurious cabin.

Lexus LS500 cabin

The velvety-rich leather upholstery adds a lot of charm to this interior, whilst there is ample space for all the occupants. As for the boot itself, you should be able to fit around six travel bags in there. However, the rear seats are fixed in place, so loading a bulky item through the cargo bay (or vice-versa) isn’t a possibility. The seats, themselves, provide great support and will help keep you in place while navigating quick turns – just remember not to go too quick as these seats are geared more towards comfort rather than outright sportiness. Meanwhile, the seat heating/cooling or massaging functions can be turned on for all the seats by using the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment head unit.

Lexus LS500 rear seats

All variants of the LS500 come integrated with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Alexa. There is also 4G LTE support and a Wi-Fi hotspot. If need be, the driver does not even have to think about operating the screen manually, as that can be done using Alexa’s voice input feature. Some of the most prominent safety features of the Lexus LS500 include Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre Crash Safety System, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a head-up display, and plethora of airbags.

Lexus LS500 features

Performance and other features

Coming to the most-awaited part of the Lexus LS500 - How does it perform? In a word, great! This sedan boasts one of the most refined powertrains in the world, albeit not the most exciting. Give this engine some throttle and you will hear it purr as the LS500 is hushed even when you are just cruising. The engine in question is an old-school but reliable 3.5-liter naturally-aspirated V6 with 416hp and 599Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that works excellently, and all the parts of the drivetrain communicate well.

Lexus LS500 exterior

The LS500 will go from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 5 seconds, while it maxes out at 250 kmph. For better ride quality and traction, the LS500 gets adaptive variable suspension, which can be raised or lowered depending on the situation. The Sport Plus mode is brilliant for performance enthusiasts as it firms up the suspension, thus maximizing the performance of the sedan even more. You can also create a unique performance mode for yourself with the help of a custom mode setting. The F Sport version further adds the Dynamic Handling Package with active stabilizers and active rear-wheel steering with gear-ratio variable front steering.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes-Benz S-Class UAE

The S-Class is arguably the most famous Mercedes-Benz of all time, and this is the seventh generation of the nameplate. The first S-Class was launched back in 1972, and since then, we have seen revolutionary things with each iteration of this sedan. Most auto-geeks will remember the first anti-locking brakes (ABS) that was introduced by the S-Class in 1978, airbags being featured in 1981, followed up by double-glazed windows in 1991, among many other industry-firsts.

You might assume that four decades later, Mercedes-Benz will come up with something extraordinary and futuristic. Your assumption would be absolutely right. While it is all modern and contemporary in its approach, there is still an understated elegance to this car. Every nook and corner of this sedan has been looked at through forensic lenses and perfected by people who really care about class and sophistication. And even though the 700,000-odd-dirham S580 is the sportiest all-new S-Class in the UAE, it is still an S-Class in the truest sense. Meanwhile, Cars24 has some amazing deals on certified used cars in Dubai.

Exterior

Mercedes-Benz S-Class front side

The elegant silhouette of the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class sports a consistent design theme and is as classy as they come. Therefore, making a bold statement with this sedan will not be difficult at all. Boosting its exterior appeal are the ultra-modern and high-tech fancy LED headlights with the brand’s latest ‘Digital Light’ technology. Meanwhile, the wide chrome-garnished front grille sits right below the proud three-pointed star on the hood.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class front

Furthermore, the door handles are seamlessly merged with the whole silhouette of the sedan, whilst the rear is expansive and yet has an emphasis on the tail end. The classy LED rear lights are gorgeous to look at, while the toned body of the S-Class lends a unique aesthetic. Even the optional 20-inch AMG wheels and AMG body kit boosts the sporting aspirations of this sedan. Finally, the fantastic paint work and excellently-judged seamlines all come together beautifully to make this an automotive masterpiece in every aspect.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class rear side

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class measures 5,179mm in length, 1,954mm in width, 1,503mm in height, and has an overall wheelbase of 3,106mm. It also comes with a boot capacity of 535 liters. The new S-Class is offered with up to 14 exterior colors – there is High-Tech Silver, Onyx Black, Graphite Grey, Emerald Green, Nautic Blue Metallic, Designo Cashmere White, and Designo Kalahari Gold Metallic.

Interior

Mercedes-Benz S-Class interior

The interior is extraordinarily superb. You would have high expectations from the interior of an S-Class, and this all-new model will genuinely supersede them all. With a masterful, inviting, and spacious design and styling, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class delivers a genuinely enriching experience for all of its occupants, no matter where you are seated.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class cabin

Mercedes-Benz has been focusing on digitization of all of their brand-new models, and the new S-Class is no exception. The marque has prioritized on screens — integrating three of them at the front. There is a giant infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster for the driver, the latter offering 3-D effects as well. Of course, if you are old school, you can turn the feature off. Furthermore, there is a head-up display that helps the driver with navigation by actually displaying arrows using augmented reality or AR. The rear seats have ample legroom and headroom, while overall ambience and comfort are top-notch.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class features

There are two screens placed on the rear side of the front seats for the passengers in the back, plus there is also a touchscreen tablet controller. The new S-Class also comes with an option for reclining the rear seats with built-in massaging and climate-control functions. On a side note, there are airbags integrated into the rear doors as well! Meanwhile, the state-of-the-art LED ambient lighting spread across the cabin looks beautiful and can be customized to display the colors of your choice.

Performance and other features

Mercedes-Benz S-Class exterior

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is seldom driven by their owners, but we are seeing a change in that with this new generation. The latest model relies on a combination of an internal combustion engine and a 48-volt mild-hybrid electric system to get its power. Under the hood of the S580 is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 496hp and 700Nm of maximum torque. Out of this, the electric motor provides 22hp and up to 249Nm of torque.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class rear

In the UAE, this V8 engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and also with the brand’s 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. Every model gets air suspension as standard, but you can opt for one with E-Active Body Control as well for even more poise and better handling. The two-ton S580 is capable of hitting 100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kmph.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class performance

As for some of its other features, the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class can park itself. There are also talks of Germany granting this car the approval of automatic driving in the autobahn for speeds of less than 60 kmph. Additionally, the sedan can also automatically detect pedestrians and collisions, and can then even apply the emergency brakes – all without any inputs from the driver. Then there is lane-assist technology that warns you while changing lanes, adaptive cruise control (which is really quite advanced), and every other safety aid that the German auto giant has to offer.

Tesla Model 3

Tesla Model 3 UAE

Teslas are some of the most attractive and popular options in the EV marketplace all across the world. On top of that, they are also the ones with the most brand recognition. The Model 3 is currently the most affordable EV in the segments that it operates in. Even so, you are looking at spending about 250,000 dirhams for the most exciting one – the Performance variant. Obviously, you need not spend all that much if you don’t want to. Instead, head on to Cars24 if you are in search of old cars for sale in Ras Al Khaimah or pre-owned cars for sale in Abu Dhabi.

The Model 3 was initially introduced back in 2017, with higher-performance versions coming later on. In the UAE, Tesla is gaining a solid footing with each passing year, with most of its models gaining fame and reputation among buyers. Of course, the fact that it is an EV from a well-reputed brand only adds to its value and heft. Not to mention, having a Tesla also makes you seem like a nature-loving person, which is not a terrible thing if you ask me.

Exterior

Tesla Model 3 front side

The all-new Tesla Model 3 is the same as its predecessor, except for a couple of small changes. Tesla has done some exciting things in the interior which we will discuss a little later. Our primary focus for now has to do with the exterior of the Model 3. On a side note… Launched to take on stalwarts of the automobile industry such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche, Tesla has made quite an impact since its launch. Thanks to Elon Musk’s charisma and the popularity of Tesla, the Model 3 has been a phenomenon.

The Tesla Model 3 Performance measures in at 4,694mm in length, 1,933mm in width, 1,443mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,875mm. Meanwhile, the Model 3 has a boot capacity of 425 liters, which isn’t too bad considering the bunch of batteries under the seats. When it comes to its exterior colors, the Tesla Model 3 is available in shades of white, matte black, blue, and red, among other paint schemes.

Tesla Model 3 front

The smooth and aerodynamic surfaces of the Model 3 highlights how much Tesla has focused on this car’s efficiency. The sleek LED headlamps and flat-ish front bumper gel into the Model 3’s coupe-like silhouette with its pulled-back A pillars and heavily-sloped rear. The rear of the car is still the same as its predecessor. However, with the Performance version, you get a carbon-fiber rear spoiler.

Tesla Model 3 rear

On the side, nothing much has changed over the previous avatar of the Model 3. However, there is now black instead of chrome around the windows and on the door handles. The large alloy wheels on the Performance version are new and now look even more sporty – Tesla calls these ‘Oeuvre’ turbines. Overall, the exterior of the Tesla Model 3 looks great, but it is pretty understated. That said, the all-glass roof surely adds a bit of panache to the whole sedan.

Interior

Tesla Model 3 interior

The interior of the Tesla Model 3 is modern, digital, and incredibly minimalistic. The center console is new with two USB-C charging ports, one 12V charger, a couple of cup holders, and even more storage space all around. There is a soft-pad wireless mobile charging station that can house two smartphones at the same time. The phones do not move even when the car is moving quite rapidly.

Tesla Model 3 cabin

The quality of the materials inside the cabin in previous years’ Tesla had been complained about, but the new Model 3 does alright on this front. The materials look premium and well put-together, though it is nothing to write home about. The center screen beside the driver’s seat controls everything in the car. And when I say ‘everything’, I mean everything. For every feature you need to control in the Model 3, you have to use the 15-inch touchscreen – from opening the glovebox to adjusting the steering wheel. Since the screen controls everything, you get an uncluttered and clean-looking interior, albeit one that adds a touch of complication (pun intended).

The main screen itself is fun and boasts quirky functions built onto it. There are even fart sound effects that actually mimic real fart sounds which can be set to be activated from any of the seats. On top of that, we have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay built into the infotainment system. Tesla has also made Netflix, YouTube, and Twitch available in the Model 3, and integrated into the massive tablet.

Tesla Model 3 features

The seats are all comfortable with excellent head and leg space for all of the occupants. The glass roof makes the interior interesting and opens up even more visual space. As far as storage space goes, the Model 3 has plenty of it. You can fit 6 carry-on suitcases in the boot and one in the front since the batteries are underneath the seats. Moreover, the rear seats can be closed to increase the size of the boot, though you are restricted by the narrow rear-end of the Model 3.

Performance and other features

Tesla Model 3 top-down

Tesla claims the Model 3 goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds, with a top speed pegged at 261 kmph. The dual-electric motors of the Performance variant are excellent, and you can accelerate quietly and quickly – as is with EVs in general. The Model 3 Performance makes up to 513hp from its motors and has its batteries under the seats, which help lower its overall center of gravity. The low center of gravity helps the sedan with tackling corners, while also increasing stability and traction. Speaking of which, the battery pack in the Model 3 Performance allows for a maximum range of 580 km (depending on the battery pack).

Tesla Model 3 rear side

Meanwhile, the battery can be charged up to a range of 275 km in just 15 minutes, while performance is nothing short of exemplary. Everyone has a different idea of how responsive a steering wheel should be – there are three different settings for the steering wheel in the Model 3. Tesla has added double-glazed windows, but road noise still gets into the cabin, courtesy of those big alloy wheels. Considering the price and performance on offer, one cannot complaint too much about this.

Tesla prides itself on the safety of its cars, so let us discuss a bit about that. The structure is made of aluminum and steel, which makes it a sturdy and robust sedan. Tesla says that the Model 3’s roof can withstand a weight of up to 4 times its actual mass. Considering that the roof is glass, that is really impressive. With a five-star NHTSA rating, the Model 3 is pretty safe for all of its occupants.

Tesla Model 3 side

The Model 3 comes with lots of cameras, sensors, and features to enable the autopilot system to work (depending on the market). The autopilot is not legal in most countries, but it can assist you in parking and other driving scenarios. It can apply the brakes automatically if it detects a collision or a pedestrian. There is 360-degree visibility for the driver as there are front, rear and side-facing cameras for the most optimum view.

Audi S6

Audi S6 front side

The standard Audi A6 was introduced in the mid-1990s as a mid-size luxury sedan, with its performance-oriented S6 avatar arriving in soon after. Challenging rivals like the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, the latest Audi S6 is one of the most sorted and practical performance sedans in the market right now. In the UAE, a brand-new Audi S6 can cost upwards of 350,000 dirhams. On a side note, Cars24 has an inventory of certified used cars for sale in Umm Al Quwain and old cars for sale in Sharjah.

While the Audi S6 may not be the most enigmatic or spine-tingling option in the luxury mid-size sedan market, it is undeniably one of the most technically advanced and well-built ones. Then again, the S6 has long had a loyal following from those who didn’t want a sedan that shouts its presence from the tops of mountains. The current-gen model was launched in 2019, and it sits between the standard A6 and the bonkers RS6 Avant in the UAE.

Exterior

Audi S6 front

The all-new Audi S6 has the iconic Audi single-frame grille (with the ‘S6’ logo) at the front, plus two air intakes below those fabulous Matrix LED headlights. The front and rear fenders along with the 5-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels add to the S6’s posh and powerful stance, while there are quad tailpipes at the rear with an air diffuser that further add to this sedan’s sporty and aggressive design.

Audi S6 side

The full-LED taillights have the same fancy design and lighting pattern as the headlights – including a fancy-schmancy LED dance routine. On the front and back, we have the iconic four rings logo right in the center, an aggressively-molded front bumper, and a smooth but well-contoured bodylines that appear sculpted yet subtle. Finally, the rear of the S6 gets a subtle boot-lid spoiler and beautiful LED taillights (with those aforementioned dancing light sequence).

Audi S6 rear side

The new Audi S6 comes in at 4,954mm in length, 1,886mm in width, and 1,446mm in overall height. Then there is its wheelbase, which comes in at 2,928mm, while the boot space comes to 530 liters. In the UAE, the new Audi S6 comes in colors such as Daytona Gray Pearlescent, Ultra Blue Metallic, Chronos Gray Metallic, Myth Black Metallic, Glacier White Metallic, and Tango Red Metallic among others.

Interior

Audi S6 interior

Like the other sedans on the list, Audi combines technology and luxury to bring you a fantastic interior. There is soft premium leather on the seats, high-quality wood fixtures and lots of gadgets. The S6 has an automatic climate control system with four individual modes. Moreover, all the seats are heated (and cooled), and so is the leather-wrapped S-branded steering wheel. There is also plenty of fine leather on the armrests, dashboard, and center console. In the boot, you can have six carry-on suitcases while the rear seats can be folded down to make even more space.

The Audi S6 has plenty of digital displays that are backed by modern, state-of-the-art technology. The center display is a 10.1-inch touchscreen with a minimalistic interface that is really easy to operate. This display is used for functions such as navigation, audio interface, and other infotainment features. To change climate control settings, driving mode, and vehicular settings, you will have to use the 8.6-inch display beneath the main screen.

Audi S6 features

Depending on how many boxes you tick, the Audi S6 can be had with a semi-autonomous driving option, a fantastic heads-up display with augmented 3D arrows to help the driver navigate, automatic & adaptive high beams, and a feature-rich center control stack. There is also night-vision mode that helps with night-time driving plus prevents collisions in the dark, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, ambient lighting, a fully-digital driver’s display with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit feature, and many more.

Performance and other features

Audi S6 rear

The sports differential and Quattro all-wheel-drive system help the performance of the Audi S6 immensely, even in inclement weather and road conditions. The differential distributes the torque between the front and rear axles evenly to maneuver corners and aids acceleration easily. The sporty exhaust system is designed to give you the feel of a sports car – albeit the S6 is not really the sportiest-feeling car in its class. However, give the well-groomed engine a whirl and hear it come to life, thanks to the sports exhaust.

Audi S6 performance

The adaptive suspension activates dampers to counter body-roll and better cornering dynamics. This helps the S6 absorb the imperfections of the road and improve driving experience. Meanwhile, the 2.9-liter V6 engine that comes with combined with an electric compressor that is powered by a 48V MHEV system. Overall, there is 444hp and 600Nm of torque on offer, which means 0 to 100 kmph cokes up in a smidge under 4.5 seconds. The adaptive suspension and smooth transmission make for a relatively-fun driving experience, while an 8-speed automatic gearbox handles all transmission duties.

Audi S6 exterior

As for the safety features of the Audi S6, they are pretty standard for a premium performance sedan at this price point. There is automated pedestrian detection and auto-emergency braking. Secondly, we have lane departure warning and lane keeping assistance. Lastly, adaptive cruise control is there, along with semi-autonomous driving.

BMW M5 Competition

BMW M5 Competition top-down front

The BMW M5 has been around since 1984, and has long been considered as one of the finest performance sedans ever made. Today, we have the latest-gen model that came with the much-anticipated Competition version as well. In the UAE, the all-new BMW M5 Competition costs in the range of about 650,000 dirhams. Of course, this is one of the most expensive cars in its class, but few would argue with its effectiveness in putting a smile on your face.

BMW M5 Competition top-down rear

However, in case you don’t have over 600,000 dirhams lying around, you need not worry about the lack of viable options. Cars24 has several certified used cars for sale in Ras Al Khaimah, with many more second-hand cars available in Dubai. As for the BMW M5 Competition, it is unequivocally a stellar sports sedan – one that has few equally great rivals. Having said that, competition for this one is stiff (pun intended).

Exterior

BMW M5 Competition front side right

With the latest M5, BMW has revamped the styling by adding a new and larger front kidney grille, stylish front and rear bumpers, and installing some really cool-looking adaptive LED ‘Shadowline’ headlights and taillights. The exterior is bolder and more shouty, and the colors more aggressive. There is a high-gloss black finish on the badges, grille, air intakes, and more. The upgraded brake calipers also come in high-gloss black or red finish, depending on the market.

BMW M5 Competition rear

In terms of its exterior dimensions, the BMW M5 Competition measures 4,983mm in length, 1,903mm in width, and it stands 1,469mm at the roof. Meanwhile, it has an actual wheelbase of 2,982mm and a minimum boot capacity of 530 liters. Overall, there is almost nothing wrong or boring when it comes to the design of the latest-gen M5, especially when it concerns the feisty Competition variant.

Interior

BMW M5 Competition interior

The interior of the new BMW M5 Competition is a great place to be in. There is plenty of high-quality leather that has been used in many parts of this cabin and for the sporty bucket seats. The seats have all been made with some serious performance in mind. Rest assured, you won’t be uncomfortable or unsupported when cornering aggressively in this BMW. In most cars today, you can control everything with the help of the central console display. Not entirely so with this one. Adjusting the volume or tweaking the HVAC system is mostly done using tactile yet easy-to-operate physical controls on the center console, which is great.

BMW M5 Competition cabin

While the standard 5-Series is full of luxury features, the M5 Competition adds even more to that list. The LED ambient lighting in this cabin really elevates the feeling of being in an expensive vehicle and makes for a pleasant environment, too. You can even adjust the color of the lights based on your mood, though I’d recommend using red when you are really in a spirited mood. Furthermore, the M steering wheel and the M sports seats are heated – the latter also being ventilated. The front seats are quite comfortable and also come with a massage option as well. There is four-zone automatic climate control, so finding just the right setting will not be an issue, no matter the weather outside.

BMW M5 Competition features

The M5 Competition sports a large full-HD infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay built into the system. You also get a high-end Harman Kardon sound system, which is one of the best in the market. However, opting for the 16-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system is definitely recommended, plus there is also a wireless charging pad for smartphones, and large carbon-ceramic brakes for those rigorous track days.

Performance and other features

BMW M5 Competition front

BMW has quietly borrowed some of the suspension components from the gorgeous M8 Coupe for the M5 Competition. This has allowed for even more sporty handling than what was already possible with the standard M5, while body roll has been reduced even further. However, the ride quality is fairly stiff. The M5 Competition gets the same M mode buttons on the steering wheel so as to allow the driver to toggle between standard mode and the hairy-chested M mode. Moreover, the M5 Competition comes standard all-wheel drive which can also be switched into rear-wheel drive if you are in the mood for some hooliganism.

BMW M5 Competition performance

Speaking of which, the BMW M5 Competition delivers exceptional performance, thanks to its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 616hp and 750Nm of torque. Equipped with Launch Control and a snappy 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, the M5 Competition can go from 0 to 100 kmph in a climax-inducing 3.3 seconds! Meanwhile, terminal velocity of this bad boy is usually limited to 250 kmph, though you can pay more for the ‘M Driver’s Pack’ and increase that to an impressive 305 kmph.

In everyday usage, it is best to leave the BMW M5 Competition in comfort mode which will make the ride more compliant and relatively soft. The cabin is pretty well-insulated, though those chunky run-flat tires do make themselves heard on almost every surface.

Mercedes-AMG E63S

Mercedes-AMG E63S front side

The outgoing Mercedes-AMG E63S is perhaps one of the most ideal cars you will ever see, a near-perfect family performance sedans ever. As expected, the E63S offers incredible power and performance, but in a package that looks utterly sophisticated and rich. A common criticism of its predecessor (which was launched in 2016) was that it was not good at everyday comfort. Well, Mercedes took note of that when working on the latest-gen iteration, claiming that it offers “enhanced everyday comfort”.

Mercedes-AMG E63S UAE

Of course, with a price tag that can easily surpass AED 600,000, you would expect nothing but the best. And while some cars in its segment are sharper to drive when pushed really hard, the Mercedes-AMG E63S will not feel like a compromise in any way at all. In the meantime, feel free to check out Cars24 for some exciting deals on second-hand cars in Fujairah or old cars for sale in Abu Dhabi.

Exterior

Mercedes-AMG E63S front

When it comes to the exterior of the new Mercedes-AMG E63S, there have been lots of small changes that enhance the already perfect-looking exterior of this well-proportioned sedan. It is almost like the engineers and designers got one more chance to make a great machine even more elegant and extraordinary. With the latest refresh, the E63S now gains new front splitters and larger air intakes, along with front arches that are now 27mm wider than before.

Mercedes-AMG E63S side

Along with the wider arches, the new E63S also comes with new and wider front tires. Meanwhile, the front has the distinctly pronounced AMG grille with twelve vertical slats and a flashier Mercedes-Benz emblem in the middle. The LED taillights are new as well and they look really nice, be it day or night. The sporty alloy wheels are 20-inch ones now, and the rear diffuser has been restyled too.

Mercedes-AMG E63S rear

Depending on the region, the new Mercedes-AMG E63S is available in exterior colors such as Polar White, Black, Selenite Grey, and Blue, among several others. On the size front, the new E63S sedan measures in at 4,940mm in length, 1,852mm in width, 1,460mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,939mm. The E63S has a total boot capacity of liters, making it one of the most spacious in its segment.

Interior

Mercedes-AMG E63S interior

The cabin of the Mercedes-AMG E63S is pretty exquisite. Every detail has been carefully crafted with some of the best materials money can buy – albeit the M5’s interior quality is even better. Meanwhile, the dashboard features aluminium switches to adjust the climate control vents at the front. The stars of the show remain the two massive 12.3-inch screens on the upper dashboard, with the center touch panel controlling most things.

Mercedes-AMG E63S cabin

Furthermore, the driver can also operate this touch-infotainment display using touch-sensitive controls placed on the steering wheel and the touchpad placed on the center control stack. The E63S obviously gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, along with a high-end Burmeister sound system to go with them. The leather sports seats are both sporty and comfortable, with multi-mode massage options available for the front ones. Finally, these seats are heated & ventilated, while the AMG steering wheel is heated as well.

Performance and other features

Mercedes-AMG E63S performance

The Mercedes-AMG E63S is powered by a fantastic 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 612hp and a brutal 850Nm of torque. Pop the drive mode into its sportiest setting, and this performance sedan will rocket from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. Then again, you can be a maniac with it, or you can choose to drive it in comfort mode and cruise all day at a sedate pace. Anyway, the AMG Performance Pack means that this sedan’s top speed is a generous 300 kmph. As standard, the new E63S comes with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and an AMG-tuned 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system.

Mercedes-AMG E63S exterior

And although this V8 engine has two turbochargers, it sounds just as amazing to the ears as AMG’s former naturally-aspirated motor. Of course, it has gotten more challenging to keep cars faster with a naturally-aspirated engine because of strict emission standards across the world. One of the complaints with the previous E63S was that it was not comfortable enough for everyday usage. Well, this new one is. Use the comfort mode, and you will have almost nothing to complaint about. When you change your mind, you can turn on the Sport or Sports + mode and go crazy with your right foot. The cornering grip is also superb, while the adaptive suspension stays composed and maintains a pliant ride.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid UAE

A family sedan that is a Porsche? Nope, that does not sound right. However, a performance sedan that is a Porsche? That is still plausible. The earlier iterations of the Porsche Panamera were criticized because Porsche was taking an unconventional route, something that was considered to be beyond their expertise. However, the newer iterations have proven everyone wrong, and has made Porsche lots of money in the process. And with a price tag of nearly 740,000 dirhams in the UAE, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most expensive and powerful among its siblings.

In case you want something a lot cheaper, Cars24 has listings of old cars for sale in Ajman and certified used cars for sale in Sharjah. Fantastically well-engineered, incredibly well-built and feature-laden, this performance sedan from the house of Porsche is a common sight on the roads of the UAE. And with its latest facelift, the Panamera has gone on to become one of the top picks in its segment. Of course, rivals such as the BMW M5 Competition and Mercedes-AMG E63S sure make things hot and interesting in this niche part of the market.

Exterior

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid front side

While Porsche has continued to refresh the styling of the Panamera, the actual design hasn’t been altered to a great degree. Despite that, the latest model looks far sharper and a lot more purposeful in the way it has been sculpted – from the front, all the way to the back. Speaking of which, the overhang at the front is shorter than the one at the back. That lends the Panamera a visual dynamism, promoted further by the coupe-like silhouette of this sedan.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid front

The side-profile of the Panamera is unmistakably Porsche and instills a sense of lightness mixed with oodles of sportiness and power. Moreover, the long wheelbase adds to the classiness of the car as well. Either way, the Panamera manages to be a sports car and a sedan all at the same time – a great one at that.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid rear

The massive 21-inch tires are wrapped with sticky all-season rubber from Pirelli and housing high-grade (and large) performance brakes, especially on the Turbo S E-Hybrid variant. Meanwhile, the rear comes with contains four exhaust pipes, two on each side. The wedged front fascia features a low grille with two horizontal slats going across the front, and they are large enough to provide substantial air to the engine. Not to mention, the rear also gets an electronically operated spoiler and a gorgeous strip of LED light bar. Overall, the silhouette of the Panamera is not intimidating but sporty.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid spoiler

As for its size, the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid measures 5,049mm in length, 1,937mm in width, and 1,427mm in height. Meanwhile, the Panamera also has a wheelbase of 2,950mm and a boot capacity of 403 liters. In the UAE, the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is available in over 15 colors – the list includes Carrara White Metallic, Jet Black Metallic, Cherry Metallic, Gentian Blue Metallic, Copper Ruby Metallic, and Carmine Red.

Interior

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid interior

As expected from a Porsche performance sedan, the sporty leather seats are mounted low in the Panamera. However, the rich interior of this performance sedan is spacious, with ample space for even taller drivers. At the same time, the rear seats are impressively snug yet comfy, and their sporty design is even more prominent on the Executive trim level, which is six inches longer than the standard model. Moreover, the Executive trim also offers almost-limousine-like legroom, while rear headroom is surprisingly good.

The expensive price tag of the new Panamera is justified once you take a look at its interior. Everything looks premium and carefully thought-out. Porsche provides many optional extras for the Panamera as well, so finding your type of interior won’t be much of a task. The interior options include leather-covered vents, a fire extinguisher, seats with massaging and ventilation features, a power rear sunshade, four-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, adaptive dampers etc. Moreover, the seats are comfortable enough even if you go for the sports seat option. And if you want to remain comfortable while doing aggressive cornering, the sports seats in the Panamera will not disappoint.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid features

The layout on the front side of the cabin is clean and uncluttered, which looks like something Tesla would do. There is a 12.3-inch touchscreen in the center, using which you can control everything in the car. However, the center console itself is pretty cluttered and can be a pain to use whilst driving. Then, we have Apple CarPlay and GPS navigation integrated into the infotainment system. However, Android Auto and wireless phone charging are missing here, which is frustrating considering the price. On a side note, a beautiful heads-up display presents basic information in a 3-D like display.

Performance and other features

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid side

The long hood of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid contains a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that is also assisted by a 100kW electric motor. Combined, the total output from the system comes up to 700hp and 870Nm of torque – all of which goes through Porsche’s brilliant 8-speed PDK transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. And despite weighing north of 2.3 tons, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid goes from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and up to a top whack of 315 kmph.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid performance

Porsche claims that the rear-axle steering on the Panamera increases the performance as well as adds convenience. This is where the rear wheels go in the opposite directions as the front wheels at low speeds, effectively shortening the length of the wheelbase. The agility of the car is also increased, which makes parking and driving in traffic easier. On the other hand, at higher speeds, the rear wheels go in the same direction as the front wheels, thus increasing overall stability. The maneuverability of the Porsche Panamera at low and high speeds are both equally impressive, which makes this performance sedan good for everyday use as well.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid rear side

A high-performance car such as the Panamera needs excellent brakes, for obvious reasons. Therefore, Porsche has equipped this one with six-piston monobloc brakes with fixed calipers at the front and four-piston monoblocs at the back with fixed calipers. As for the Turbo S E-Hybrid variant, it comes the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) option for even better braking.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid charging

The Panamera comes with are four drive modes – Normal, Sports, Sports Plus, and Individual. While the first three modes are preset, you can create a customized profile according to your driving style using the Individual mode. For everyday usage, the Normal mode will do just fine. Meanwhile, the Sports mode enables dynamic driving and outstanding performance. The whole drivetrain gets even more responsive in Sports Plus mode, while the car firms up the suspension by dropping the air suspension to its aggressive and lower setting. Finally, the Sport Response button unleashes the fastest possible response for a duration of 20 seconds. This can be used if you want to conduct quick overtakes.

Audi S8

Audi S8 UAE

The Audi S8 was released in the mid-90s, and was made iconic by its use in the movie Ronin, starring Robert De Niro. Therefore, for a lot of Audi fanboys, this performance sedan came across as an instant classic. It not only looked amazing, but it also had a naturally-aspirated V8 engine that did its job very well. However, the first S8 wasn’t all that great in other aspects. Thankfully, subsequent iterations were a lot of fun, being quite excellent (overall) and a pleasure to drive. There was even one that got the Lamborghini Gallardo’s 5.2-liter V10! Of course, modern emission standards no longer allow for such silliness.

Audi S8 side

Even with the piles of restrictions that exist in this day and age, Audi has ensured that the latest-gen S8 remains an excellent performance sedan. And since it is essentially an A8 underneath, the new S8 is not just fun to drive, but it also makes for a great everyday cruiser as well. The outgoing fourth-generation S8 came about in 2020, and is the flagship variant of the brand’s flagship sedan. Costing around 630,000 dirhams in the UAE, the S8 sure is expensive. However, Cars24 has second-hand cars for sale in Abu Dhabi and cheaper old cars for sale in Dubai, should you be interested.

Exterior

Audi S8 front side

The all-new Audi S8 saw a complete overhaul of the exterior when it was refreshed in 2020. The design is in line with the latest A8, which means that the S8 looks sophisticated and expensive, though not all that sporty when compared to some other cars on this list. Having said that, the S8 is one of the largest performance sedans in the market. And even though it is not the flashiest one around, its sheer size makes a fantastic impression and statement on its own.

Audi S8 front

When it comes to the fine print of this design, this new S8 comes with a few really fancy touches. It gets Audi’s fabulous and super cool-looking Laser headlights, along with the brand’s trademark ‘light show’ whenever you lock or unlock the car. No kidding – Audi does the best lights in the industry! Of course, the slab-like body of the S8 may not be the most visually exciting, but the bold alloy wheels plus its broad and confident stance will appeal to many people.

Audi S8 rear side

Coming to the actual dimension of the new Audi S8, it measures in at a sizeable 5,179mm in length, 1,945mm in width, 1,474mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,998mm. Meanwhile, the S8’s huge trunk can fit only up to 505 liters worth of luggage – significantly less than its closest rivals. On the other hand, Audi UAE will provide color options such as Cuvée Silver Metallic, Mamba Black Metallic, Nightblue, Floret Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black, Monsoon Gray Metallic, Navarra Blue Metallic etc.

Interior

Audi S8 interior

If there is one word to describe the Audi S8’s interior, that would be “fine and tech-laden”. Furthermore, there is diamond-stitched upholstery on the seats and door pads that are made from some of the finest quality leather – even the headliner is made of a faux-suede material for that sporty feel. As for the fancy and futuristic-looking dashboard, even that is enveloped with stitched leather. How’s that for upscale and posh?

Audi S8 cabin

The cabin of the Audi S8 encompasses everything you expect with a performance sedan at this price. The front seats have cooling, heating and massaging functions, and are lovely to sit in. Furthermore, the rear of the cabin provides ample amounts of head and leg space for the passengers, while the comfy seats themselves can be had with luxury options such as heating, massaging, pillowy headrests, a remote control to operate the infotainment system and climate control etc. And depending on your wish to splurge more money, Audi will give you an almost-endless of options to cram the S8’s interior.

Audi S8 features

Being a tech-centric marque that it is, Audi has added multiple touchscreens that control everything from climate control, music, navigation, and onboard connectivity functions – all of which work smoothly and sans any glitch. Meanwhile, Audi’s brilliant Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster looks fabulous and is displayed on a 12.3-inch screen. On top of that, the center console boasts a 10.1-inch and an 8.6-inch upper & lower touch-sensitive displays. Among many other features, the Audi S8 gets Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi hotspot and a detailed 3-D navigation system. On the entertainment front, the new S8 can be had with either a 17-speaker stereo system designed by Bang & Olufsen, or an even better-sounding 23-speaker system – again, by B&O.

Performance and other features

Audi S8 performance

Unlike the more standard A8, the more fun S8 has been blessed with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that is further assisted by Audi’s 48-volt hybrid system. The combined effect is 563hp along with 800Nm of maximum torque, while an 8-speed automatic gearbox channels the power to all four wheels via Audi’s famous Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Obviously, the S8 is faster and more energetic than the standard A8 – going from 0 to 100 kmph in as little as 3.8 seconds – a respectable time for a sedan that weighs over 2,2 tons! The S8 also gets active air suspension that controls every wheel individually, thus increasing stability and handling.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S

Porsche Taycan Turbo S front side

There is no doubt that Porsche makes some of the best internal combustion engines in the world. Therefore, when the German marque announced that it will be launching an electric vehicle (EV), people expected great things from them. Fortunately, for Porsche and all of us, the end-product did not disappoint. The Taycan is absurdly fast (especially the Turbo S), with performance that will leave even some of Porsche’s own dedicated sports cars in the dust. And if you are wondering, the Porsche Taycan is the fastest car on this list, and to top it all off, it is electric. Electric cars really have come very far from their nascent stage.

Coming in at 788,000 dirhams, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S is the most powerful version of the model. Of course, this being a Porsche, you can add thousands of dirhams to that price tag by ticking on the optional extras. Then again, if you are on the lookout for something far more affordable, Cars24 has a vast inventory of certified used cars in Umm Al Quwain and second-hand cars for sale in Ajman. Arriving in 2019, the Porsche Taycan shares its underpinnings with the Audi e-tron GT.

Exterior

Porsche Taycan Turbo S UAE

Among all of its variants, the Taycan Turbo S is undoubtedly the most expensive and sportiest. It comes with larger vertical air intakes on the front wheels that guide the air over the wheels and thus reduce unwanted air disturbance. Then there is the brand’s signature four-point LED DRLs in the headlights with a beautiful matrix design, while the svelte rear features an ultra-slim LED light bar and tail lamp elements, plus a powered rear spoiler. Meanwhile, the stylish door handles extend automatically when you go to open the doors.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S front

The fixed glass roof looks amazing and gives the occupants an open-air feeling while also keeping the cabin fully-insulated. Overall, the Porsche Taycan is very quiet because of the insane amounts of insulation. At the rear, there is the beautiful ‘Porsche’ branding underneath the aforementioned LED light bar. Also, there is the ‘Turbo S’ written just below the light bar. And although this is an EV, Porsche has gone ahead with its popular ‘Turbo S’ moniker – not that it hurts any sentiments among enthusiasts.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S rear side

In the UAE, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S is available in a bunch of different exterior colors. Some of these include options such as Volcano Grey Metallic, Jet Black Metallic, Carrera White Metallic, Frozenberry Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Neptune Blue, Carmine Red, Mamba Green Metallic etc. In other news, the Taycan Turbo S comes in at 4,963mm in length, 1,966mm in width, and 1,378mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,900mm and a minimum boot capacity of 366 liters.

Interior

Porsche Taycan Turbo S interior

The cabin of electric cars usually come with a lot of tech as standard, and the Porsche Taycan is no exception. The layout of the front cabin is simple yet elegant, with the quality of materials used being absolutely exemplary. Of course, there are lots of interior options with numerous colors and different materials – all you have to do is pay more for extras. Other features here include radar-guided cruise control, adaptive sports dampers, four-zone automatic climate control, front sports seats with massage & ventilation, plus a heated steering wheel.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S cabin

The Taycan Turbo houses four people as standard, though there is an option to add one more seat in the back. However, the rear seats of the Taycan are a little cramped as opposed to the other performance sedans on this list, but that is the price you have to pay for having batteries underneath the floor and the insane performance on tap.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S features

As for its equipment list, the Porsche Taycan comes with a 16.8-inch HD screen for the instruments, which looks splendid and posh. There are two central touchscreens for controlling music, navigation, connectivity options, and other infotainment-related features. The 10.9-inch central screen is mainly used to control various aspects of the car itself, while the 8.9-inch touchscreen below that is used to adjust the HVAC system and navigation details, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are part of the deal too. An additional 10.9-inch display is available for the front passenger as an optional extra. At the back, a 5.9-inch touchscreen is offered as well for those who get bored really soon. Needless to say, this car is not meant to be driven by a chauffeur.

Performance and other features

Porsche Taycan Turbo S

If you needed any more affirmation – the Taycan Turbo S is all about performance – in case the Porsche badge wasn’t a giveaway enough. Put your foot down, and you will quickly enter another dimension while being comforted by the upmarket interior. This thing is bonkers for sure! While sheer mass handicaps other EVs from taking corners aggressively, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S isn’t your average electric car, is it? It comes with two potent electric motors – one powering the front wheels, the other spinning the rear ones.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S performance

In all, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S generates a colossal 761hp and 1,050Nm of peak torque. Equipped with launch control and all-wheel drive, the Taycan Turbo S will sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds! That is just mega. Meanwhile, the top speed is capped at 260 kmph. Housed underneath the main body is a 93.4kWh battery pack, which enables this sedan to cruise in an all-electric mode for up to 412 km. Of course, there are tamer versions of the Porsche Taycan as well – a details which most enthusiast will not give a toss about.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S exterior

All Porsche Taycans come with a two-speed transmission, which has been geared to thrill you rather than increasing the range. Additionally, with most electric cars, you can take them to the extreme, but then they require a cooling-off period before going at it again. However, the Taycan can give you great performance continuously without needing a resting period, so to speak. With the Taycan, Porsche has brought their A-game. Along with the sporty low seating position and great handling, the Taycan makes for a fantastic driving experience overall.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S rear

We are talking about an electric car here. So, it would be relevant to talk about the charging issue. Most electric vehicles take time to charge. The Porsche Taycan can be charged fully in about 25 minutes. However, there is a catch. You have to find an 800-volt DC fast charger to be able to do that. With regular household chargers, it will take you the whole day to charge this EV fully.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia UAE

Alfa Romeo is one of the most renowned names in the world of motoring. Few automakers have the kind of pull that this iconic Italian marque does, even to this day. And the Giulia Quadrifoglio is one of the best performance sedans in the world right now. Launched back in 2015, the Quadrifoglio is the ultimate avatar of the magnificent Giulia. Competing with the likes of the BMW M3 Competition, Mercedes-AMG C63S, this Alfa Romeo stands tall and proud among its German peers.

While most cars in this segment have been updated continuously over the years, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has remained unaltered (for the most part) since its introduction. Some might think that this might hamper this car’s perception – that is not how the world of Alfa Romeo works. The brand has enough charisma in the minds and hearts of car enthusiasts, it can get away with not updating its performance cars every few years or so. Of course, with a sticker price of AED 350,000 or so, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is far from being easily attainable for most people.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia colors

Thankfully, if you are in search of an affordable set of wheels in the UAE, Cars24 is here to help you out. We have an ever-expanding list of second-hand cars in Sharjah and old cars for sale in Dubai. Having said that, if it is exotic brand appeal and intense performance that you want from a sedan, then the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is pretty much the benchmark.

Exterior

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia front

The ‘V Scudetto’ grille on the front of the Giulia Quadrifoglio is an iconic Alfa Romeo design feature since the last century. Besides the grille, there are two air intakes on either side that help with this sedan’s effective aerodynamics. These are followed up by the Giulia’s beautiful projector headlamps with its stylish LED DRLs and a chiseled hood. The rear comes with dual-mode exhausts (with four tips) that not only looks sporty but also sound really good. Meanwhile, the roof, hood, and propshaft are all made out of carbon fiber.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia side

Adorning the sides of this Giulia are the iconic ‘Quadrifoglio leaf’ logo on the front fenders, while the sporty side skirts and swanky 21-inch alloy rims with a burnished finishing. look quite aggressive are the Even the front seats are carbon-shell. Overall, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio looks superb and is almost the perfect family sedan, especially in the performance space. As for its colors, the Giulia can be had in Alfa Red, Competizione Red, Misano Blue, Trofeo White, Vulcano Black etc.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia rear side

Unlike some of the other performance sedans here, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is not that large when it comes to its actual footprint. It comes in at 4,639mm in overall length, 2,024mm in width, and stands 1,426mm tall at the roof. The Giulia’s wheelbase comes to 2820mm, while its boot capacity is 480 liters – not as much as its larger rivals on this list. Having said that, if you are buying an Alfa Romeo, everyday practicality is not going to be at the top of your list. I mean, look at this automotive art form, and then tell me it doesn’t turn you on at all, Impossible!

Interior

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia interior

While its German rivals get really upscale and contemporary interior, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t belong in the same category. However, over the years, Alfa Romeo has kept improving on the quality of materials it puts inside its cars – even more so with models such as this Quadrifoglio. This means that there is quite a bit of Alcantara, soft stitched-leather, and carbon-fiber trim all over the place. Then there are the seatbelts that can be had in either red or green, a leather-wrapped gear lever, and a flat-bottom steering wheel that is heated and features aluminium shifters.

Meanwhile, the “Carbonshell” seats from Sparco are made with carbon fiber and designed in such a way that makes them suitable even if you visit a racetrack. The sun visors are quite small, though, but you won’t really care about those that much. You will love the aluminium pedals and the steering response, though. Just in case, carry a pair of sunglasses with you, if it were to be too sunny. While it isn’t a class leader in any way, the Giulia has enough space inside to carry four adults in comfort.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia features

The infotainment system has been given a makeover since it was first introduced. It is now a new 8.8-inch touchscreen which is far simpler to use, unlike the one in the earlier model. Furthermore, there is a rotary knob on the center console, combined with features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a wireless phone charger. You also get multi-zone climate control, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, an active aero splitter, Alfa’s DNA Pro drive modes with Alfa Chassis Domain Control, active torque vectoring, and multiple driver attention assist systems.

Performance and other features

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglia performance

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio comes armed with a beautiful-sounding 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that pumps out 510hp and 600Nm of maximum twisting force. Coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels, the Giulia Quadrifoglio can go from 0 to 100 kmph in under 4 seconds. Moreover, you get to choose between three driving options: Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency. Dynamic gives you the best performance, as the name suggests. Meanwhile, ‘Natural’ is perfect for everyday use, and ‘Advanced Efficiency’ exists in case you want to increase fuel efficiency.

Even when compared to other performance sedans on this list, the Giulia Quadrifoglio feels well-balanced, spirited and agile throughout its speed range – this is a true-blue Alfa Romeo. This sedan truly is a joy to drive – second to none. Considering the price point it is placed in, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a fantastic option if you really love driving and don’t mind compromising on a few things that the Germans have to offer. On top of all that, a top whack over 300 kmph doesn’t sound that bad, does it?

Conclusion

Performance sedans are an exciting genre of cars, no doubt. And as we can see here, they can be both luxurious and excitingly fast. In recent years, we have seen a barrage of fantastic sedans that have enthralled us. This includes electric sedans and petrol-guzzling ones, neither being boring by any standard. Every car on this list has a distinct personality that cannot be replicated, each with their own unique traits. Figure out what works for you and get the performance sedan of your dreams, and one that matches your vision of a performance sedan and budget. However, this list should help you in shortlisting the car for you. In short, these performance sedans are really some of the bests in the UAE.

BMW M5 Competition side
