Suzuki e Vitara - design and dimensions
The Suzuki e Vitara is based on the 'e-Heartect' platform by Suzuki. This platform is shared by other popular ICE models as well, like the Suzuki Swift, Suzuki Grand Vitara, and more. For the e Vitara, Suzuki has tailored it to accommodate the battery and electric motor. Suzuki claims to have used high-tensile steel to create a safe chassis for the e Vitara. The design looks radical and doesn't share a lot with the other Suzuki models.
The bold shoulder line, muscular front with LED lights, and an upright rear outlook enhance its road presence. Suzuki will offer 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel options, depending on the variant chosen. At the rear, it gets a connected light setup with smoke treatment, giving it a sporty EV look. The plastic claddings all-around provide a tough design appeal and save the body from scratches and dents during off-roading.
At 4.3m in length, the electric Suzuki Vitara is a long crossover. Additionally, it is 1.8m wide and 1.63m high, making it directly competitive with the Volkswagen ID.3 and the Kia EV3.
