Hyundai Creta EV

The 2025 Hyundai Creta is the most demanded compact SUV in the UAE. Hyundai's smart design, spacious cabin management, and efficient petrol engine have helped Creta in becoming popular. With the electric Creta, Hyundai has taken the brand image one step further.

Hyundai Creta EV

The design of the Creta EV is identical to the Indian-spec Creta. However, it is equipped with EV-only parts like a closed pixelated grille, active front aero flaps, aerodynamic alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres, and a different rear bumper. Additionally, the charging port has been provided on the nose (front grille).

Hyundai Creta EV

The cabin layout is also identical to the ICE version of Creta. The Creta Electric has a light colour interior theme and a two-spoke steering wheel similar to the Hyundai Kona EV. Other features include a dual 10.25-inch connected display, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, 360-degree camera, and ADAS level 2 safety suite.

Hyundai Creta EV will be sold in the global market with the option of 8 monotone, 2 dual-tone, and 3 matte exterior colour options.

Hyundai Creta Electric - battery, specs, range, performance, charging

Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai is offering the electric Creta with two battery pack options - a 42 kWh and a 51.4 kWh. Both battery packs are mated to a front axle-mounted electric motor that provides a range of 390 km (42 kWh battery) and 473 km (51.4 kWh battery). Hyundai claims that the long-range version can do 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

The 42 kWh battery pack is mated to a 99 kW electric motor that makes 135 PS of peak power. The 51.4 kWh battery pack is mated to a more powerful 126 kW electric motor that generates 171 PS of peak power.

The electric Hyundai Creta also gets the single-pedal drive called 'i-Pedal'. Additionally, it comes equipped with three driving modes - Eco, Normal, and Sports. The drive mode selector on the Creta Electric is mounted on the steering column, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

It supports rapid DC charging and with the help of it, 10-80% charge can be achieved in just 58 minutes (claimed). Meanwhile, the 11kW AC wall charger can provide 0-100% charge in 4 hours.

Hyundai Creta Electric - UAE launch time, price, rivals

Since the Hyundai Creta Electric has not been launched yet, its UAE launch timeline is still not disclosed. However, the UAE remains one of the top-priority markets for Hyundai, therefore, we can anticipate the launch of the Creta Electric in the second half of 2025.

If launched in UAE, the electric Hyundai Creta will be positioned below the Hyundai Ioniq 5 price-wise. Its direct competitors will be the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Suzuki e Vitara.
