Hyundai Ioniq 9 EV - UAE launch time, price, and rivals

Hyundai Ioniq 9 has been revealed in the US currently. Hyundai aims to launch it in the Korean and US car markets by mid-2025 and later into the European and other priority markets like the UAE itself. Hence, our anticipation says that the Ioniq 9 will debut in UAE by the end of 2025.

The current flagship EV from Hyundai in UAE is the Ioniq 5, which is priced from AED 153,000 for the base variant. However, the Ioniq 9 is a whole new level of luxury, space, and performance. Being a flagship model means it will be priced at least AED 200,000 for the base version when it gets launched in the UAE. The direct competitors of the Ioniq 9 in UAE are - Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, Audi Q8 e-tron, and BMW iX.

Our verdict

Hyundai has been serious about the electric vehicle market globally. The Ioniq 5 has established itself as a solid EV that packs performance and luxury. Meanwhile, to grow bigger and step in the premium EV share, the Ioniq 9 appears to be the perfect model. Rest, you tell us in the comments below what you think about the Ioniq 9 EV.
