Breaking the radical design boundaries, the Kia Tasman has vowed to impress everyone on the road with its out-of-the-box styling. Based on a new platform, the Tasman has rugged and bulky body panels with touches of modern design like LED lights. The lights have been placed on the outer side at the front and rear so that the off-road usability could improve for customers. Moreover, it will be offered with a single cab and a double cab option as per customer needs.
Similarly, the bulky side panels have huge plastic claddings to provide protection during off-road driving. With a cargo bed of 41.4 cubic feet capacity, the payload that the Kia Tasman can pull ranges from 1 ton to 3.5 tons. Moreover, it has a high water-wading capacity of 31.5 inches, offering a practical ability to cross water crossings. Kia is offering options of 17-inch and 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres for better off-road experience.

Kia Tasman - engine, specifications, mileage
For global markets, it will get a 2.5L turbo-petrol engine that generates a peak power output of 277 bhp and 422 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be offered with options of a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This engine can propel the Tasman pickup truck from 0-100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 185 km/h. The expected mileage of this engine will be in the likes of 9-11 km/l as per the driving conditions.
For rough-terrain markets like Africa and the Middle East, Tasman will be offered additional petrol and diesel engine options. The details of these engine options are currently unknown. Kia Tasman has been based on a ladder-frame chassis that is designed to withstand harsh off-road conditions and high payload capacity. At the front, it gets double wishbone suspension, while the rear gets a solid axle with leaf-spring suspension.
