Not long ago, Toyota showcased the Hilux Rangga SUV concept based on the IMV platform shared with the Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Innova. Now, it will hit the production line soon in the Indonesian car market.
The radically designed Rangga SUV is a utility-friendly SUV that will be offered with three-row, 7-seater options. Online reports also hint that there can be more seat options as well, once it is launched.
The outside design of the Hilux Rangga SUV is radical and boxy. It might not appeal to everyone but it will be a comfortable people mover as per the company. A few highlights of its exterior design includes LED lights, a blacked-out body kit, rugged bumpers, and black alloy wheels.
The cabin design is inspired by the Toyota Hilux Rangga pickup. It gets a similar dashboard to the Rangga pickup truck but the multi-seat layout is spacious and the seats are also comfortable. Some top features of the cabin include air conditioning, touchscreen infotainment, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, and more.
Powering the Toyota Hilux Rangga SUV will be two engine options - a 2L turbo-petrol and a 2.4L turbo-diesel. These will be offered with an automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission options. More details regarding these engine options will be revealed during the launch.
