New-gen Honda Amaze - design and features
As visible in the official sketches released by Honda, the new Amaze will get a sleek design language. The front fascia is now more stretched with the new LED headlights, new grille, and a new bumper design. The headlights look identical to the Honda City, which is also a popular sedan car in the UAE. Amaze is a compact sedan, which means it will fall short of the 4m length mark by a few millimeters. However, it will be based on a new chassis, enhancing its driving dynamics. Meanwhile, the rear design has grown into a bigger sedan car feel with the Honda City-inspired LED taillights. Overall, it will look sleek and futuristic in styling.
Interior sketches showcase the new cabin design which looks familiar to the Honda City and the Honda Elevate SUV. The digital console has ADAS lights, hinting that it will get camera-based ADAS safety features like the Honda City. Moreover, a 10.25-inch touchscreen console with wireless phone connectivity, auto climate control, wireless phone charging, auto-dimming IRVM, 360-degree parking camera, and other latest features will enhance its appeal on the inside.

New-gen Honda Amaze - engine, specifications, and mileage
Honda has planned not to change the engine and drivetrain on the new-gen model. Hence, it will carry forward the old tried and tested 1.2L i-Vtec petrol engine. It comes mated with an option of a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox, churning out a max 88bhp of power and 110Nm of peak torque. The claimed mileage of this engine is 18.6 km/l. Performance from this powertrain is sufficient and family-friendly. Being a city car, Amaze is well-known in the select global markets, for its comfortable ride and spacious cabin.

Our verdict
Honda has been working hard to bring back its glory days. With mild products that faded the company's tasteful history of making cars, the new-gen models are aligned back-to-back for the international markets. Honda has also teased the new Passport SUV for the US market recently. Tell us in the comments, would you like to see the Honda Amaze compact sedan in the UAE?
