Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 RS - what is it?
Manthey is a racing branch that was acquired by Porsche as the company has 51% stakes in it. Manthey has been known to produce special body kits and performance parts for popular Porsche models. The Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a heavily reworked regular RS model. Apart from a special paint job, decals, and livery, it has stiffer suspension, bigger brakes, and a bigger wing than the regular GT3 RS. Not just that, but, it has its rear window replaced by a big carbon fiber sharkfin that provides aerodynamic support to the big wing.
Manthey has taken more than 2 years to make this special kit for the 911 GT3 RS. It also gets special race wheels with different designs for the front and back. The redesigned bumpers improve its aerodynamic capabilities, as well as they direct more air into the engine to keep it cool. There are 6 small fins on the roof to provide additional aero support by deviating the hot air coming from the front of the car towards the rear wing.
Manthey claims that this kit has been thoroughly tested over thousands of miles driving it in Europe. For now, the UAE launch timeline has not been revealed for this kit but it will make it to the US market by the middle of 2025. Manthey will probably launch the 911 GT3 RS kit in UAE by the end of next year.
The performance figures are yet to be announced by Manthey as the company has been waiting for bad weather to clear out from the Nurburgring track. Once it happens, the expectations are it will break the 6-minute 49.32 seconds lap record set by the standard GT3 RS.
