Renault revealed the updated Duster model earlier this year for the Turkey market. Now, the right-hand drive model for the South African market has also been revealed; giving us a clear picture of how the UAE-bound Duster SUV will look. Its muscular yet edgy design language is going to be a prominent factor in a strong road presence.
Bold body lines, big wheel arches, and fat claddings give it a proper rugged SUV outlook. One good thing, Renault has ensured that the new Duster doesn't lose its charm to the 'gimmicky' rivals, hence, it doesn't get the connected lights, which have become a norm nowadays. Similar to the exteriors, the cabin has also undergone a complete overhaul. At 4.3 mt, Duster is a long car and it has enough space on the inside for 5 adults. The all-black theme of the cabin might be optional for the UAE market but it surely gives it a rough-tough appeal. Additionally, it has connected features like a big 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument console, auto AC, wireless phone charging, and more. Renault Duster 2025: engine, specifications, and mileage
Globally, Renault has revealed that the new-gen Duster will be sold with 3 engine options - a 1.6L hybrid-petrol engine, a 1.2L mild-hybrid petrol engine, and a 1.0L LPG petrol engine. While the first two are expected to be launched in the UAE, the LPG engine is restrained for the select European markets only. These engine options will be offered with a CVT automatic gearbox in the UAE.
The current-gen model delivers a mileage between 14.49 km/l to 17.24 km/l. But, the hybrid powertrain will increase these numbers by at least 10-15% as per our assumption.
Now, the main question. Would it come with a 4X4 drivetrain or not? Well, yes! Renault has ensured to stick to the real DNA of the Duster brand. It is a widely popular SUV in the European markets; all because of its go-anywhere capability. Therefore, the UAE-bound Duster will also get the option of a 4X4 system when launched.
