Toyota Supra Final Edition - what's special?
Toyota Supra has to be one of the most iconic supercar names around the world. Loved for its simplicity and tuning-friendly nature, the latest A90 Supra is a hoot to drive. And yes it is bound to be so because it is a result of the Toyota-BMW collaboration. The same platform and the 3.0L inline-six engine are also used on the BMW Z4. However, Toyota has now decided to bid farewell to this generation of Supra. Hence, the 'Final Edition' with racetrack-focused mods has been released.
Race-inspired design
Toyota plans to make only 300 units of these, so in case you have plans to buy one, make sure you don't lose the opportunity. Speaking of the changes, it gets the carbon fiber add-ons like the front bumper lip, rear bumper diffuser, and side skirts, which help in achieving the aesthetic as well as performance upgrades. Moreover, it gets a carbon fiber wing for a perfect racetrack experience.
Other modifications include special 19-inch forged front alloy wheels and 20-inch rear alloy wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. The front brakes have also been upgraded with 19-inch Brembo rotors and brake pads. Moreover, the bonnet gets a carbon fiber duct that helps in releasing extra heat during race laps.
Race-inspired interiors
Step inside and you are greeted by a beautiful combo of race-inspired cabin design. The race steering wheel, special Recaro racing seats, and cross-type racing seatbelts make sure you do not miss the essence of the 'Final Edition'. Additionally, Toyota has used carbon fiber highlights on the dashboard and the door pads. Even the pedals are not regular but special aluminum race-type pedals for extra grip. Toyota has also added a roll-cage for added safety as well as making it track-legal.
More powerful engine
Powering the Toyota Supra Final Edition is the same 3.0L inline-six engine as the regular model. But, Toyota has tuned it excessively to churn out 429 bhp of peak power and 570 Nm of peak torque. These figures are 47 bhp and 70 Nm more than the standard car. Also, Toyota is offering the 'Final Edition' only with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a rear-wheel drivetrain as standard.

Toyota Supra Final Edition UAE launch timeline and price
Currently, Toyota UAE has not revealed any plans to bring any of these special units of the Supra. In fact, Toyota has exclusively released the 'Final Edition' for Europe and Japan. However, if you wish to buy one, you can contact your nearest Toyota dealership and they'll help you in booking one; if it's available. As only 300 units are being allotted for this last special edition, we suspect these will be brought within no time. Moreover, the cost of the Toyota Supra Final Edition has not been revealed yet.
Our verdict
Toyota Supra has been a legendary sportscar for a long time. Over decades, customers have loved it for its affordable yet thrilling performance. Additionally, its tuner-friendly nature has made it uber-popular in the street racing culture globally. The A90 Supra has been a successful model but it's time for Toyota to move on from it. So, when is the new-gen Toyota Supra coming? Let us know about your ideas in the comments below.
