Hyundai Creta Electric - top 5 key features

1. New steering wheel and console

Hyundai Creta Electric

The electric Hyundai Creta is equipped with a new two-spoke steering wheel that is identical to the Hyundai Kona EV. Additionally, it gets a new center console that has better space management than the petrol version. It also has a dual 10.25-inch screen curved display along with a steering column-mounted drive gear selector. Other features include an EPB with auto hold, 8 speaker BOSE music system, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, dual-zone climate control, driving modes, etc.

2. In-car payment

First-in-segment feature that the Hyundai Creta Electric has brought, is the in-car payment for EV charging. Customers can pay for the electric charging stations directly through the infotainment screen. The Hyundai Creta EV also gets a digital key through which customers can lock, unlock, and start the car with their smartphones directly.  

3. i-Pedal drive and shift-by-wire

Another interesting feature that the Hyundai Creta Electric gets is single-pedal driving or i-Pedal drive. Using it, the driver can accelerate, decelerate, and stop the car by using a single pedal i.e. the accelerator pedal. This feature is very useful for city driving as the driver does not need to repeatedly use the brake pedal to slow the car. Additionally, the shift-by-wire technology offers seamless automatic shifts while the driver can enjoy the power.

4. Battery pack and range

Hyundai is offering the Creta EV with two battery pack options - a 42 kWh and a 51,4 kWh. The smaller battery pack of 42 kWh produces a peak power of 135 PS using a 99 kW electric motor and provides a driving range of up to 390 km. Meanwhile, the bigger battery pack of 51.4 kWh produces a peak power of 171 PS by using a 126 kW electric motor and provides a max range of up to 473 km.

5. Level 2 ADAS safety features

The upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric gets a level 2 ADAS safety suite. These autonomous safety features assist the driver in safely avoiding accidents. The level 2 ADAS of the Creta EV includes - lane monitoring & lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree parking camera, a front collision avoidance system, blind spot monitoring with an intervention system, and more. It also gets 6 airbags as standard with four disc brakes and a high-tensile steel body for passenger safety.
